Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) has undertaken a nationwide initiative to urge all Americans of Pakistani heritage and all American Muslims to register to vote. Voter registration can be performed through the PAKPAC website. http://www.pakpac.net/action1.asp

Voting is one of our most important civic responsibilities, and it is extremely important for all of us to exercise this right with dependability. PAKPAC requests all other Pakistani American organizations and American Muslim organizations to join hands and encourage their respective membership at the regional and national level to register to vote. The Pakistani American newspapers must play a vital role to educate and ask the larger Pakistani American community to become registered voters. PAKPAC strongly urges the leaders and imams of the various Masajid all across the United States to use the Jumaa prayer khutba to educate people about their civic rights and register voters before and after the prayers. Every effort should be made that all eligible American Muslims should be registered to vote before November 2003.
