Background:
CNN broadcasted a program on World Report about Pakistan, Kashmir
and India at 930 PM on December 7th, 2003. This program was a program
given to CNN by Pakistan TV and contained the perspective of the
people of Pakistan. There were significant concerns reported about
the human rights abuses and interviews of the people of Kashmir
who are suffering on a daily basis.
This programming has resulted in hundreds of phone calls and emails
to CNN from individuals and groups not so concerned about the human
right abuses in the region.
These phone calls are portraying that no one is concerned about
the human rights abuses in Kashmir and the perspective shown was
incorrect.
Action Request:
PAKPAC gives permission to all organization to use this alert under
their name as well.
Please respond to this campaign and ask CNN to continue showing
programs on the true situation in Kashmir as was shown on the night
of December 7th, 2003.

the world report where the reports from different Countries are
provided on a weekly basis.
Thank CNN for broadcasting the situation of the people of Kashmir,
where some of the most significant human right abuses are occurring
on a daily basis by the Indian forces.
Request CNN to re-relay the story again for more people to see.
