FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Feb 12th, 2008, Maryland.
Pakistani-American Public Affairs
Committee joins all fellow Americans to mourn the death of Congressman
John Lantos. It is with great sadness that PAKPAC notes the passing
of Congressman John Lantos, who has been one of the most outspoken
defenders for human rights. Mr. Lantos spent 27 years in the house
speaking for the people oppressed around the world.
Mr. Lantos was pivotal in defending the
rights of people in different parts of the world, but also was highly
concerned about the civil rights of
the people impacted in the United States. PAKPAC hopes that his
mission and his views of defending the civil
rights of people anywhere and especially also in the United
States would be continued by people who will take on his
responsibilities and also his mission will be followed by his fellow
members of congress to help work towards providing due process and
equal justice for all the citizens of the Unites States
