The Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) joins the Pakistani American community to salute the efforts of Dr. Mohammed Suleiman for his ongoing continued support to humanity.

Dr. Suleiman Past President of Association of Pakistani physicians of North America (APPNA) was introduced to the American public when during the recent Katrina disaster in New Orleans, he provided non stop support in some of the most difficult times to his patients. It was after 5 days of service, when he continued to provide life saving treatment to his patients, when he and his over 125 patients were airlifted to a safer place. He continued to take care of patients in Baton Rouge while many other people rested. Dr. Suleiman later returned to New Orleans and had actively participated in the rehabilitation of his town.

At this time when there are over 79,000 people believed dead and over 3 million without shelter in the cold weather with what is believed to be the worst disaster of the last few decades, surpassing Tsunami of 2004, Dr. Suleiman is responding to his call for duty and is joining many other physicians to go voluntarily help support the victims of this earthquake. Dr. Suleiman said that, “it is the duty of all people to help their fellow humans, no matter where they are” and he feels that now at this critical juncture, we as Americans do whatever it takes to help the thousands who are at risk of dying. He urged all to donate urgently to the different agencies involved in rescuing the people.
