ensure that the February 18th elections in
Pakistan are fair and free.

Pakistan
depends on a credible electoral process. A sustainable, positive and
collaborative relationship of United States with Pakistan depends upon
our ability to help strengthen the voice of the people of
Pakistan,
by stressing the independence of judiciary and media and upholding the
democratic principles that we as Americans treasure.
In the upcoming elections, free
unrestricted media access and coverage, as well as, international
observation will remain critical.
The Pakistani-American Public Affairs
Committee joins all people of Pakistani heritage in the United States
