| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 7th, 2008: Indianapolis: The Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee congratulates Congressman Andre Carson on winning the Democratic Primary from Indiana with a comfortable victory. Congressman Carson became the 2nd Muslim to become a Congressman in the history of United States. The Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee was the first PAC and organization to officially endorse and support his candidacy and do a fundraiser and support him. The Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee asks all the fellow community members across the country to help support the candidacy of Congressman Carson. This is based on our assessment and discussion with people from Indiana , who believe that he is the best candidate to represent them and have been in touch with PAKPAC to help support his candidacy from the very beginning. PAKPAC in turns requests other organizations to show their support and have him be a member and present in all community events and meetings.
