I am sure you are aware of the recent disaster that has struck South Asia. There is a an enormous loss in human lives and the sufferings have been astronomical. According to some estimates 40,000 people have died, hundreds of thousand are injured and over 4.5 million are without any shelter.

We know that your Masjid has been under forefront of helping humanity and people in need in critical times. We, as [Us the name of your own organziation] Pakistani-American Association of Connecticut, request you to join us in helping reduce the miseries of the people, who have been significantly affected by this 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Pakistan.

We seek your help at this critical time in the following way:
1 ) Please help educate the members and people in the masjid about the magnitude of this disaster
2) Please help us raise funds for this disaster so help can be provided to the people who are in extreme need at this time.
3) Please allow us to make a speech in the masjid or please make a speech on our behalf to raise funds.
4) We are enclosing these posters with this letter, please do consider placing them on visible sites in the Masjid, and sharing with your members.
5) Please plan to make special requests on Jumaa prayers, and Eid prayers.
