SUGGESTED FOLLOW-UP LETTER
Honorable, [Name of your Member of Congress]
It was a pleasure meeting you on April 26th,
2008 on the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America
(APPNA) and Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC)
Day on the Hill. I truly appreciate the time that you took to discuss
and understand the issues of concerns to the Pakistani-American
community.
Both the members of the Pakistani American
Community and I are appreciative of the time that you and your staff
gave us to discuss about the deteriorating situation of the civil
rights of the Pakistani Americans and the American Muslim community.
Your understanding of our concerns is of great importance to us.
We are grateful that we were able to discuss
with you about the challenges and opportunities we have to develop a long term strategy for Pakistan US relations with specific focus on building an education,
healthcare and economic infrastructure. We feel that the Senator Biden's plan needs to be supported with a long term investment in Pakistan, to help
capacity building and human development infra-structure in the region is critical for long term stability and growth of the region and stability of
the world.
