Letter to the community members who have
been victims to this policy
Dear All,
Our committee, at the present time, is in the process of compiling
stories of the people who had been impacted by the background
check and name check policy. Your story and information will help
us be better with our advocacy efforts to reach out to the medial
and policy makers.
We would also like to know if you do not allow us to share yours
name and identification, the information would be kept
confidential. We however would suggest that if you are willing to
talk to media about your story, it would help educate the media
and larger community about our challenges.
When we will compile these stories, your identifying information
will be removed, but this time it is critical that we get some of
this information together and compile this booklet of information
so that some of these cases could be discussed with the policy
makers, as well as, the administration and with the Department of
Homeland Security. We hope to help identify a solution to a
problem which is impacting and choking the future of our
community.
We are aware of individuals who have hoped to be able to become a
voter in the last many years and have waited for multiple
elections without being able to get their right to vote. We look
forward to your support at this point. Please come forward and
share yoru stories.
