Immigrant Groups Liaison Committee

The immigrants have made up as a part and parcel of our society and have continued to enhance our culture with its diversity.

In the recent past, in the post 09/11 era, there has been an organized movement of reducing immigration through legal means.

This committee is to reach out to develop coalition building with other immigrant communities to try and identify common grounds and our common challenges and help start to demystify the realities of the immigrant communities and help educate the larger American community about the importance of continuing appropriate immigration policies.

The Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee is in favor of a fair immigration policy and is also in favor of legal immigration.  We are fully supportive of equal opportunity for immigration and equal time duration for immigration process for different people.

This time we are reaching out to the larger immigrant organizations to reach out and develop coalition building for our common issues and try and reduce duplication of efforts and build strength on the existing work that either other organizations or we have been working on.  If you are one of the organizations, please do contact us and inform us and subscribe to our list for organizations.

Our support worker is Sania Zaheer, she can be reached at Sania.Zaheer@pakpac.net
