PAKPAC Advocacy
PAKPAC is working to improve the life of Pakistani-Americans through
several means of advocacy. These includes legislative, administrative
and media advocacy, and here PAKPAC members are trying to influence
the local and federal legislative issues. We support legislation
addressing the hate crimes, racial profiling. Our legislative goals
include work on discrimination, civil rights and immigration. We
are also committed to improving the US-Pakistan relationship.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS:
PAKPAC representatives and members regularly meet with government
officials at the local state and federal level, and allow for consistent
dialogue on issues affecting the community at the local and federal
level.
OUTREACHING AND DEVELOPING COALITION
BUILDING:
PAKPAC has been at the forefront of developing coalition building
with all other communities and are proud to inform the we have good
understanding friendship with essentially all other immigrant communities,
as well as other organized minorities in the United States.
This allows us to have a larger voice on the issues of our concern.
It is quite obvious that we as a smaller group of immigrants have
far larger common grounds with our fellow Americans. We build on
our understanding, and use our commonalties to build bridges of
understanding and develop a larger voice to influence appropriate
legislative work.
