Ijaz Mahmood

Dr. Mahmood is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Kentucky.  He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and member of American Society of Rheumatology and also member of Kentucky Medical Association and New York Academy of Sciences. 

Dr. Mahmood is a graduate of King Edward Medical College in 1985, has had education, training and fellowship performed in Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa and then residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He has been very active in the community, has been president of King Edward Medical Alumni Association and also has participated in multiple committees within the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America. 

Dr. Mahmood is also active in community education about local community hospitals and physicians about cancer and blood disorders.  He has been active with reaching out to members of the Congress, legislators, advocates and administration within the Kentucky area.
